Hotels

Both The Grand America and The Little Hotel leads the boutique pack in Salt Lake City. These properties are decked out in Victorian motifs, such as gilded wall paneling, ornate vases and antique furniture. Guests love the elegant feel of this hotel because, as they note, the fancy decor doesn't take away from the comfort. Guest rooms are ornate, but the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are large and the in-room features (like the flat-screen TVs and iPod docking stations) are modern. The hotel's long list of services — which include complimentary wireless Internet access, a pool and kid-friendly amenities — also earn this hotel a thumbs-up. And while the hotel's design is high-end, guests note that the staff lacks any signs of pretention, displaying warm and friendly manners.
